A new dual-brand hotel is currently being built near River Park in Fresno, marking an exciting development for the city. This establishment will be the first of its kind in Fresno, boasting a four-star rating and featuring a rooftop lounge that promises stunning views.
As of January 31, 2026, construction is actively taking place at the site located at the intersection of Nees Avenue and Highway 41. This project will result in a four-story building housing 195 rooms, designed to accommodate a wide range of guests.
Tracy Kashian, a spokesperson for River Park, expressed her enthusiasm about the ongoing construction, stating, "To see the ground moving is really exciting." A recent aerial view from Skyview 30 showcased the transformation of a large parking lot into what will soon be a vibrant hotel, catering to various types of visitors, including business travelers and families.
The innovative design of the hotel includes two distinct brands sharing a common entrance. Guests who enter and take a right will find themselves in the AC Hotel, which is set to be Fresno's inaugural four-star hotel. This hotel is characterized by its modern aesthetic, influenced by European design, and features a rooftop lounge that overlooks the bustling River Park area.
Kashian noted, "You'll see kind of from the elevation from the outside, you'll know the AC side because they are the ones who have the rooftop lounge that comes with their portion." The other segment of this dual-brand hotel is The Element Hotel, which caters to longer-term stays and will offer a complimentary reception service for its guests.
According to Kashian, this combination of accommodations is exactly what the area has been missing. She pointed out the convenience of having shopping and dining options nearby, as well as easy access for those planning to visit Yosemite National Park after their stay.
Plans for the hotel include a large swimming pool, a fitness center, and several conference rooms, making it an attractive destination for both tourists and business professionals. Kashian emphasized the strategic location of the hotel, saying, "I think it's the perfect location because of what's built around it with all of River Park. You have the offices behind it that will bring in the people looking for corporate lodging."
This new hotel is part of a larger expansion plan for River Park, and Kashian is looking forward to its completion. "I think Fresno is going to rock it; we've wanted this for so long," she said. "For us to have this in this area is going to add more value for us and the community."
Construction is projected to wrap up by late 2027 or early 2028, promising an exciting future for Fresno's hospitality scene.
